Mughal Palace: Jacuzzi Suite with Double Lake Terrace

A private Jacuzzi, two terraces facing Hauz Khas Lake, and a personal bar. The most intimate room we have, designed for two.

Mughal Palace is our signature suite and the room most guests message about first. In 240 sq ft, it holds the two things that define the stay: a private in-room Jacuzzi and a double terrace with direct views over Hauz Khas Lake and the 14th-century fort complex on its eastern bank. Not a shared Jacuzzi, not a hotel hot tub, but your own, in your room, with the lake as the backdrop.

The double terrace is a feature specific to this room and one no other South Delhi boutique B&B offers at this price point. Two separate terrace spaces in the same room mean one can be set for the evening while the other stays open; the lake light shifts in the hour before sunset, roughly 6:00–6:45 PM between October and March, and the best seat for it is from the upper terrace of this room.

The room’s 240 sq ft is compact by design; everything is within reach, and the Jacuzzi and terraces are the space, not the room itself. Queen bed, Mughal-era decor with arched detailing and warm lighting, smart TV, Alexa automation, air purifier, and a full personal bar. AC throughout. Wardrobe. Private attached bathroom.

Alexa controls the room’s lighting and a range of basic functions. The air purifier is a practical addition for this room, relevant in Delhi winters and monsoon months, when air quality shifts noticeably.

Most pre-arrival requests for this room are simple: flowers arranged before arrival, a specific room setup, early check-in to catch the lake light at the right hour. When you book directly on WhatsApp, all of these are easy to arrange.

Cozy Suite: Lake-View Suite with Balcony & Full Kitchen

Our largest room. A lake-view balcony, a private swing, a full kitchen, and a king bed – built for families, groups, and longer stays.

Cozy Suite is the largest room at Mughal Hospitality at 480 sq ft, twice the footprint of Mughal Palace, with a king-size bed, a private balcony swing facing Hauz Khas Lake, a full kitchen, and a 4-person maximum occupancy that makes it the most versatile room we have.

The balcony is the room’s defining feature. It faces the lake and the Hauz Khas Village lanes; a swing on the balcony gives you the village sound below and the water in front, which is a different experience from the upper-terrace lake view of the Mughal Palace. It’s embedded in the village rather than looking down on it. Step off the balcony and Hauz Khas Social is 30 seconds away. The lake path is 5 minutes on foot. Deer Park is 700 metres.

At 480 sq ft with a king bed and 4-person capacity, Cozy Suite is also Mughal Hospitality’s strongest option for families and small groups. The full kitchen induction cooktop, electric kettle, and microwave mean a family with children can manage meals without having to take everyone out to a restaurant three times a day. Breakfast is still included every morning regardless.

The room is child-friendly and pet-friendly, as are all three rooms at this property. Smoking is permitted. Paid parking is available for guests arriving by car.

Mughal Imperial: Bath Tub Suite with Smart Automation

A freestanding bathtub, a full kitchenette with fridge, Alexa, a 55-inch TV with speaker, and the only South Delhi boutique B&B room with all four.

Mughal Imperial was built around a single idea: most hotel bathrooms in South Delhi are not designed for a proper soak. Mughal Imperial is the room that is. A freestanding bathtub in a private attached bathroom, with a dedicated geyser for continuous hot water and an in-room RO water purifier. The bathtub is the room’s centrepiece, and everything else in the suite was arranged around it.

What sets Imperial apart from a standard bathtub hotel room is the supporting layer: a full kitchenette with induction cooktop, electric kettle, microwave, and a mini fridge, the fridge being the detail that makes a 2–3 night stay meaningfully different from a single-night booking. A 55-inch smart TV with a dedicated built-in speaker for the evenings. Alexa voice assistant and smart room automation for lighting and basic controls, so the room adjusts to the evening without you having to find the right switch. King-size bed. Private attached bathroom. All in 290 sq ft.

Triple-sharing capacity makes this the only boutique bath tub suite in Hauz Khas Village that comfortably works for three guests. The ₹2,000 extra guest charge applies for the third person; the kitchenette, the fridge, the 55-inch TV, and the bath tub are shared by all three.

The Alexa automation controls room lighting and a range of basic functions. Guests settling in for a second or third night consistently find it more useful than they expected the lighting adjustment for the bathtub hour being the most-used feature.

Room Amenities:

✓ Freestanding Bath Tub (private)✓ King Size Bed
✓ Geyser / Continuous Hot Water✓ RO Water Purifier
✓ Induction Cooktop✓ Electric Kettle
✓ Microwave✓ Mini Fridge
✓ 55″ Smart TV with Built-In Speaker✓ Alexa Voice Assistant

  • Bathroom: Private attached with freestanding bath tub
  • Breakfast: Included

Price: ₹7,500 per night (inclusive of breakfast) Extra guest: ₹2,000/night

Best for: Couples who want the bath tub as the main event of the evening. Groups of three needing a boutique bath tub suite at a single room rate. Guests staying 2+ nights who want a fridge and full kitchenette alongside the bath tub.

On direct booking vs OTA: When you book via WhatsApp, the host knows your name, your room, and your request before you arrive. These are significantly harder to relay through OTA booking platforms, which filter host-guest communication until after check-in.

Which Room Is Right for You?

Mughal Hospitality Best Bed and Breakfast in South Delhi

For a Romantic Anniversary or Proposal – Mughal Palace (₹9,500)

The Jacuzzi, the double lake terrace, the personal bar, and Alexa room control in a 240 sq ft queen-bed suite built specifically for two. The double terrace is the detail that makes this room different from every other South Delhi B&B: two separate terrace spaces with the lake directly in front. Most anniversary guests message ahead to arrange flowers or a specific setup — when you book directly, it happens before you arrive.

For Families or a Group of Four – Cozy Suite (₹6,500)

At 480 sq ft with a king bed, 4-person maximum occupancy, a full kitchen, and the lowest extra-guest charge of the three rooms (₹1,500 per additional guest), Cozy Suite is Mughal Hospitality’s strongest option for families and small groups. Child-friendly, pet-friendly, smoking permitted. The lake-view balcony with a swing works as well for a family morning as it does for a couple’s evening.

For a Couple Who Wants to Stay In – Mughal Imperial (₹7,500)

The freestanding bathtub, the 55-inch TV with speaker, the Alexa, the fridge, and the induction cooktop mean Mughal Imperial is genuinely self-contained for two nights or more. The bathtub at the end of the day is the room’s reason for existing; the kitchenette and smart home setup are there to make the hours around it more comfortable.

For a Group of Three – Mughal Imperial (₹7,500 + ₹2,000 extra)

Triple-sharing capacity in a 290 sq ft king-bed suite with a freestanding bathtub, fridge, 55-inch TV, and full kitchenette. The most complete boutique bathtub suite for three guests in South Delhi at this price point.

For a Longer Stay of Three or More Nights – Cozy Suite or Mughal Imperial

Cozy Suite gives you the most space (480 sq ft), the full kitchen, and the most generous extra-guest pricing, the right choice for families or groups staying 3–5 nights. Mughal Imperial gives you the fridge, the kitchenette, and the bathtub, the right choice for two or three guests who want the bathtub alongside the extended-stay practicalities.

For the Lake View at the Best Price – Cozy Suite (₹6,500)

If the lake view is the priority and the Jacuzzi isn’t, the Cozy Suite’s lake-facing balcony at ₹7,500 is the most accessible way to have both the village atmosphere and the water in front of you. At 480 sq ft, it is also the most spacious room at Mughal Hospitality, more sq ft per rupee than any other room we have.

For Smart Home and Air Quality – Mughal Palace or Mughal Imperial

Both Mughal Palace and Mughal Imperial have Alexa automation. Mughal Palace additionally has an air purifier, a practical distinction for guests visiting Delhi in November–January when AQI regularly rises, or during monsoon months when humidity and air quality shift.

Why Hauz Khas Village & Why South Delhi

Morning View of Hauz Khas Village, South Delhi.

South Delhi as a Base

South Delhi spans approximately 250 square kilometres and is home to roughly 2.7 million people. Widely regarded as India’s most affluent urban district, it has around 20% green cover, an 87% literacy rate, and a cosmopolitan, professional residential population. The district encompasses three of Delhi’s eleven historic cities: Qila Rai Pithora, the first city of Delhi dating back to the 11th century; Mehrauli, the second; and Siri, the third, which includes Hauz Khas and was developed under the Khalji and Tughluq dynasties during the 13th and 14th centuries. Two Delhi Metro lines, the Yellow Line and the Magenta Line, serve the district.

From Mughal Hospitality in Hauz Khas Village, guests are within 15 to 25 minutes of Delhi’s highest concentration of medieval monuments. Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s tallest brick minaret, is 3.7 km away. Humayun’s Tomb, begun in 1565 CE and regarded as the architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal, is 9 km away. Lodhi Garden (free entry, 7 km), Safdarjung’s Tomb (3.5 km), Mehrauli Archaeological Park (4 km, featuring more than 70 monuments spanning over 1,000 years, with free entry), and Chor Minar, a 13th century Khilji era tower, are all located within 4 km of the property, allowing guests to explore these historic landmarks without navigating central Delhi traffic.

Why Hauz Khas Village Specifically

Of all South Delhi’s B&B neighbourhoods, Hauz Khas Village is the only one where the neighbourhood itself is a destination rather than just a base to explore the city. The reservoir at the edge of the village was built in 1295 CE by Sultan Alauddin Khilji to supply water to the third city of the Delhi Sultanate.

Originally spanning approximately 123.6 acres, it was one of the largest water infrastructure projects of its era in the Indian subcontinent. Between 1352 and 1354 CE, Firoz Shah Tughlaq restored the reservoir and built the mosque, madrasa, and his own tomb along its eastern bank. This iconic domed stone complex is the same historic landmark visible from every lakeside room at Mughal Hospitality today.

The village was modernized in the mid 1980s and is now known as the National Capital of Ethnic Chic. It offers medieval ruins, a scenic lakeside promenade, rooftop bars open until 1:00 AM, art galleries, and boutique-lined streets, all within a compact, pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood. Hauz Khas Social, with its 8,500 sq. ft. rooftop, stays open until 1:00 AM. Naivedyam, a popular South Indian restaurant, is just 2 minutes away, serves until 11:00 PM, and costs approximately ₹500 to ₹700 for two. Deer Park is located just 700 metres from the property.
